Net Worth $3.2 Million
Tamar Braxton-Herbert is an American singer-songwriter and reality television personality with an estimated net worth of $3 million. She is 5’2″ and weighs 135 pounds. The youngest of six children, Tamar Estine Braxton was born on March 17, 1977 in Severn, Maryland. With an amateur opera singer mother and pastor father, the six Braxton children combined their family talents singing in their father’s church as children. At only twelve years old, Tamar and her four sisters created R&B girl group, The Braxtons and landed an album deal with Arista Records. After lackluster reviews and sales, the group disbanded in 1991 but remained in the industry performing backup vocals for her more successful sister Toni Braxton.
In 1996, three out of five Braxton sisters returned to the studio for new label Atlantic Records and later that year released new album So Many Ways. The album had little to moderate commercial success and the next year Tamar would follow in big sister Toni’s footsteps to pursue a solo career of her own. After signing with DreamWorks Records in 1998, Tamar released her solo debut album, Ridiculous, which despite producing two popular singles, failed to reach any real success. By 2013, Tamar would release three more albums and finally reach commercial success with 2013’s Love and War.
In 2011, Tamar reunited with her four sisters along with their mother for WE Network’s new reality show, Braxton Family Values. The show, which follows the five Braxton women through their daily lives, was an instant hit and its popularity spawned a spin-off for Tamar and husband, Vincent. Tamar & Vince premiered on WE in September 2012, chronicling the daily lives of the singer and her record exec hubby. Married since 2008, the couple has one child, son Logan Vincent Herbert, born in June 2013.
