Paula Abdul is an American choreographer, singer, songwriter, and television personality with an estimated net worth of $30 million. She is 5’2″ and weighs 114 pounds. The younger of two girls, Paula Julie Abdul was born on June 19, 1962 in San Fernando, California. A dancer from a young age, her first taste of the limelight came as a dancer and head choreographer for the NBA LA Laker’s cheerleading squad, The Laker Girls. By the mid 1980s, the dancer has established herself as one of music’s top choreographer working with notable artists like The Jacksons and Janet Jackson.
In 1988, Paula made the transition into singing releasing her debut album Forever Your Girl, which went multi-platinum and launched her to overnight fame. Currently, the singer is busy acting as judge on the reality dance competition So You Think You Can Dance Australia, slated to air in 2014. An avid dog lover, Paula is a supporter of a number of animal related causes including Much Love Animal Rescue, American Humane Association and In Defense of Animals, which protects the rights, welfare and habitats of animals. She was married to actor Emilio Estevez from 1992 to 1994 and to designer Brad Beckerman from 1996 to 1998.
