Juelz Santana is an American rapper and actor with an estimated net worth of $9 million. LaRon Louis James was born on February 18, 1982 in Harlem, New York. He is of Dominican and African American descent. He fell in love with hip-hip at a young age; starting to rap at the age of five. When he was 12, James’ rap duo, Draft Pick, got signed to Priority Records. At the age of 18 he recorded a feature on Cam’ron’s S.D.E. album, he joined the rap collective The Diplomats shortly after.
Upon signing to The Diplomats, Juelz Santana flooded the hip-hop scene with mix-tapes, radio interviews, and features on other artists’ records. After being featured on fellow Diplomat member Cam’ron’s singles, “Hey Ma” and “Oh Boy”, the young rapper began working on his debut album. In 2003 he released From Me to U which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.
Juelz Santa really blossomed as a rap artist in 2005. He released his sophomore album What the Game’s Been Missing!. The album contained hit singles like “Mic Check”, “There It Go (The Whistle Song)”, “Oh Yes”, and “Clockwork”. “There It Go” peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot Rap Tracks charts. The rest of the songs charted as well. “There It Go” and What the Game’s Been Missing! both became certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Juelz Santana has not released another solo album since his sophomore album. He has continued to stay busy working with some of the top artists in the game like Meek Mill, Fabolous, Rick Ross, Wale, Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Lloyd Banks, and many more.
