Right after high school, Torii Hunter was selected by the Minnesota Twins as a first round pick in the 1993 MLB Draft. He was Baltimore’s pinch runner in 1997 but it was only in 1999 when he began playing on a regular basis. He played with the Twins from 1997 through 2007.
After declining Twins’ three-year $45 million deal, Torii Hunter agreed to a five-year $90 million contract offered by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
