Popular as “Big Donkey”, Adam Dunn is an American baseball athlete who currently plays in the Major League Baseball for the Chicago White Sox as the team’s outfielder, designated  hitter and first baseman. In 2012, he received a salary of $14 million.

Adam Troy Dunn was born on November 9, 1979 in Houston, Texas USA. After graduating from New Caney High School, Dunn was selected as a second round pick by the Cincinnati Reds in the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft. In 2001, Dunn debuted into the MLB with the Reds.

In August 2008, he was traded to Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Dallas Buck and two other future picks, Micah Owings and Wilkin Castillo. In February 2009, he was signed by the Washington Nationals to a two-year, $20 million contract. A year later, the Chicago White Sox signed him to a four-year, $56 million contract.

Currently, Adam Dunn is married to his wife, Rachel Brown with whom he has a son, Brady.
