Born in Chicago, Illinois, Tim Hardaway went on to play at the collegiate level for the University of Texas at El Paso. The Golden State Warriors drafted him in 1989. He would play successfully for The Warriors through 1996, earning the nickname “Run TMC” as part of the successful offensive trio of himself, Mitch Richmond, and Chris Mullin. He was traded to the Miami Heat in ’96 and played for them until 2001. He played one season with the Dallas Mavericks, one with the Denver Nuggets, and one with the Indiana Pacers, before fully retiring in 2003. He was a 5-time NBA All-Star, an All-NBA First Team member in 1997, an NBA All Rookie First Team member in 1990, and the WAC Player of the Year in 1989. He was also part of the Gold Medal winning team at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
